Say Anything…, 1989 (dir. Cameron Crowe)
When I first saw this movie (I think I was probably in high school and going through an 80’s/90’s movie phase) I remember wanting a guy to try to win my heart by such creative means. What shows you care about a girl more than writing her a love letter, leaving her numerous messages, and when all else fails standing outside her window with a radio playing ‘your song’? Most of it is now considered cliche, but deep down inside I am a hopeless romantic. I would probably die of happiness if anyone put for a similar effort. It may seem borderline stalkerish, but I find it incredibly endearing.
